Powder Coating
Powder coating is an environmentally safe finishing process that provides a durable, long-lasting, and decorative finish to our wrought iron products.
Process: Powder coating is an advanced way of spray painting a very dry plastic powder paint. A powder comprised of finely ground particles of pigment (color) and resin (glue) are electrostatically charged and sprayed on to the metal. Once coated, the component is moved to the oven to bake, where a chemical transition occurs resulting in a durable, uniform, high quality finish.
Durability: Powder coating is significantly more durable than conventional paints. It is extremely resistant to chips, scratches, abrasion, corrosion, heat, light, and chemicals. It is up to 10 times more durable than ordinary paint.
Finish: Powder coating eliminates runs, drips, and sags that are common with wet paint finishes. There are a wide variety of colors and textures available.
Hot Dipped Galvanizing
You also have the choice of hot dip galvanizing. Hot dip galvanized steel resists corrosion in numerous environments extremely well. It is not uncommon for galvanized steel to last more than 70 years under certain conditions.
Custom Faux Finish
Also available is a custom faux finish by Pam Homes. These finishes include a pewter finish, gold and silver leafing, and many more.
